I enjoyed yet another excellent academic meeting on Revision Hip and Knee Replacement at Westport. I gave a lecture on Metal Ions Effects - Local and Systemic. This topic is important following the high rate of failure of metal on metal bearing implants. Our knowledge is expanding - but alas all the many questions cannot be fully answered yet! There was a fantastic experienced faculty from Ireland, the UK and the USA. As always, it was a great opportunity to meet friends, colleagues and the trade, in the beautiful setting of Westport.
