Waterford Mini-Med School
February 16, 2015
Waterford Mini-Med School is a fantastic opportunity for Transition Year students to explore the many and varied aspects of a career in medicine. Run by Professor Riona Mulcahy with the Royal College of Surgeons, it is a four day program, comprising of both lectures and practical sessions, covering everything from GP medicine, to hospital medicine, to forensic medicine, to lifestyle choices and public health.
I will be conducting the surgical practical, looking at manual dexterity and discussing surgical techniques and training. It should prove to be great fun for all involved.
