Whitfield Clinic
At UPMC/Whitfield Hospital, we are flexible in our visiting times. We ask that you do not visit patients during mealtimes, or late in the evening. This allows patients time to rest and recover. If you wish to visit, we recommend you call us to check in advance. Our in-patient wards are as follows: Orthopaedic – 051 337 431 or General – 051 337 498.
The shop is situated on the ground floor of the hospital. It is open to patients and visitors from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. The shop is closed on Sunday. It serves hot and cold beverages, home baked pastries and made-to-order sandwiches. It also stocks the basic personal hygiene items you may need during your hospital stay.
The Atrium Café is situated on the ground floor of the hospital. It is open to patients and visitors from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. The café is closed on Sunday. It serves hot and cold beverages, home baked pastries, healthy and traditional breakfasts, made-to-order sandwiches, salads and daily lunch specials. You won’t go hungry!
UPMC/Whitfield Hospital is designed to provide ease of access to all staff, visitors and patients. We have disabled parking spaces available. All entrances into the hospital are wheelchair and reduced mobility friendly. There is a lift available for use in the main atrium, which gives access to all floors in the hospital. Guide dogs are also welcome. For more information, please contact a member of our Patient Services team.
There is parking at the front of the hospital for all visitors. The parking fee is a flat rate of €4. Please note that the first 20 minutes of your stay is free of charge. There are parking spaces available close to the door of the hospital for those with reduced mobility. Parking for visitors holding a current disabled parking permit is free of charge. A member of our reception team will be happy to help.
