Knee Replacement Meeting

Other interesting topics were the partial versus total knee debate. Certainly the results of partial knee replacement are encouraging and I was delighted to look at the new instrumentation for insertion of the partial knee implant.

Likewise there was interesting discussion regarding patient expectations and how to measure marginal gains following surgery. Certainly the current outcome measures are too crude and not sensitive enough to differentiate patients at the upper end of the outcome scale.
